After Paris, I surprised my friend Josh with a ticket to BST in London for his birthday. We caught some new acts like Sofie Tukker and a few personal faves Ghostpoet, Loyle Carner, and Massive Attack with Horace Andy AND Tricky! Highlights included watching Patti Smith yell “fuck corporations, fuck banks” while headlining a festival sponsored by Barclaycard, seeing Horace deliver a quick set from a wheelchair then promptly taken back to the hospital and TFL letting us through the underground barriers on one Oyster card.
